Waterford’s Gaeltacht
An Rinn (Ring) is the only Gaeltacht region in Ireland, and is one of the smallest Gaeltachtaí. The area contains An Cuinigear, a long peninsula in Dungarvan Bay which hosts a huge variety of seabirds. Coláiste na Rinne, an Irish language college, attracts many students of the language for both summer and full term courses. The area is also known for fine cut crystal from Criostal na Rinne and Irish Wildlife Mobiles in Sean Phobal.
